Grandma’s Sayings Quilts
Another “Sayings” Quilt
This started out as a Mother’s Day gift for my mom but I had enough fabric to make two so I sent the other to my ex-hubby’s mom. I think I made them in 2005. These are like the Christmas Sayings quilts–a simple nine patch with a saying printed on the center patch, only I tied these instead of machine quilting them. I used grandma and family sayings for these… you know, ones like: “Grandmas are moms with lots of frosting” and “There’s no place like home except for Grandma’s” and “Families are like fudge, mostly sweet with a few nuts.” I have more family sayings over at my other site.
