Autumn Night

Autumn Night
This quilt was my first mystery quilt. I did it with the online mystery group, A Pocket Full of Mysteries. I found the leaf fabric at Wal*Mart. It had a nice drape and felt a bit nicer (heavier, but not as stiff) than most of the fabrics you find there. Since you don’t find many fall-type fabrics with blues, I bought it for the mystery. I like the way the colors blend.
The mystery project was held over Labor Day weekend (September 2006). I finished the top on 6 September 2006. It’s approximately 60″ x 60.” I quilted it with Vine & Leaves all over and Uneven Feathers in the borders. The machine quilting patterns were from Ellen of Munnich Designs.
I finished binding the quilt on 22 November 2006. I’m going to order a wooden 36″ long quilt hanger with a shelf from an eBay vendor to hang this in my quilt studio. I’ll take a new picture when it’s hung in its new home.
