About

I am a daughter of the King, a 40-something SAHM to 4 young adults, a single person, self-employed, a homesteader wannabe, a gardener, and a quilter who’s trying to embrace the concept of John 3:30 and also live a simpler, healthier, more creative life while looking for *my* Mr. Darcy.

As a young girl, my grandmother taught me how to embroider and bought me my first sewing machine. My Mom tried to teach me to knit. However, I’m a lefty and I had a hard time catching on from her example. They both fueled in me a love of crafting of all sorts–cross stitch, crewel embroidery, plastercraft, garment and costume sewing, macrame and miniatures. I have always *loved* sewing, fabric and quilts, though. When I learned to quilt in 2003 it ignited a passion that hasn’t been quenched since. I live and dream quilting!

In all honesty, I really haven’t been looking that hard for Mr. Darcy. . .
